I receive a lot of invitations to invest in companies.  Unfortunately most of them over value their intellectual property.  A simple formula to use is:  if it  cost  $1million to create a product it will cost $10million to commercialise it and $100 million to setup international sales and marketing.  Also the hockey stick sales graphs are always presented.  Remember to generate large sales you need successful senior sales executives (and a lot of them).  Will these individuals leave the comfort of a good job making good commission  for a known brand to work for a unknown startup?  All these factors reflect in determining the value of the invention.
